How we use Rive at Uiscore
In the modern world of digital design, animation has become an integral part of creating engaging and interactive user interfaces. At Uiscore, we actively use Rive—a powerful tool for creating animations that allows us to implement complex and dynamic elements on our web pages. In this article, we will discuss how Rive helps us enhance the user experience and share examples of our work. Our team's primary aim is to develop high-quality, user-friendly products for digital creators. By grasping how a specific product functions, you gain the ability to customize and blend pixels into a cohesive composition that delights you daily.
Why we chose Rive
Rive offers a unique combination of a user-friendly design interface and a powerful rendering engine that ensures smooth animations across all platforms. Its ability to integrate with various technologies and provide high performance makes Rive an ideal choice for our projects. We value Rive for its flexibility and the ability to create interactive elements that come to life on the screen, capturing users' attention.
Our choice of Rive was driven by several key factors:
Interactivity: Rive allows us to create animations that respond to user actions, significantly improving engagement. This was a key aspect that we lacked in After Effects.
Performance: Thanks to its lightweight format and efficient rendering, Rive ensures smooth animations even on devices with limited resources.
Versatility: Rive easily integrates with various platforms and technologies, making it an ideal choice for our multi-purpose projects.
Efficiency: Rive reduces the time required to develop complex animations, allowing us to deliver high-quality products faster.
Comparison of Lottie, After Effects, and Rive
Before choosing Rive, we considered several popular tools for creating animations: Lottie, After Effects, and Rive. Each of these solutions has its advantages and disadvantages, but Rive stood out due to its unique capabilities.
Lottie is an excellent tool for creating lightweight linear animations that are easily integrated into web and mobile applications. However, Lottie is limited in terms of interactivity and complex animations, which does not always meet our needs for creating dynamic and engaging interfaces.
After Effects is a powerful tool for creating high-quality animations, but it is primarily oriented towards video production rather than real-time interactive graphics. Exporting animations from Ae often requires additional steps and can result in larger file sizes, which may affect performance on web platforms. At Uiscore, we initially used After Effects for creating animations but faced limitations in terms of interactivity and performance. We wanted to expand the boundaries of animated content and make it more interactive, which After Effects could not fully provide.
Rive combines the advantages of both tools, offering a lightweight runtime format, high performance, and the ability to create interactive state-driven animations. Rive's binary format is typically 10-15 times smaller than equivalent Lottie files, ensuring fast loading times and smooth performance. Moreover, Rive's state machine allows for complex interactions that are not easily achievable with Lottie or After Effects. Transitioning to Rive allowed us to overcome the limitations of After Effects and create truly interactive and engaging content.
Examples of our work
Levitating cards for the Uiscore homepage
On our marketplace homepage, we implemented the effect of levitating cards, which adds dynamics and visual appeal. These cards not only display statically but also move smoothly, creating the impression that they are floating in space. This approach helps highlight our products and makes the interface more modern and interesting.
Levitating cards for the Access Bundles
On the Access Bundles page, we also applied the effect of levitating cards to emphasize the variety of our products. This effect is not only visually pleasing but also helps users navigate the assortment more easily, making the selection process more intuitive.
Animation of feature cards for Access Bundles
For the feature cards page of Access Bundles packages, we developed an animation that demonstrates the key advantages of each package. This animation not only informs users but also makes the process of familiarizing themselves with the product more engaging.

Hero section for the Uiscore Design Studio
The hero section of our Design Studio homepage was created using Rive to add animation that immediately captures visitors' attention. The animation effect in this section helps convey the dynamics and professionalism of our team, making the first impression unforgettable.
Conclusion
Using Rive at Uiscore has become a key factor in creating modern and dynamic user interfaces. Our examples demonstrate how animations can transform ordinary elements into engaging and interactive components, improving the overall user experience. We continue to explore Rive's possibilities and implement new ideas to stay at the forefront of digital design.
